Head of School Performance and Partnerships

Salary: £97,490-£102,700 (the offered salary at the upper end will be dependent upon the experience of the successful candidate)

As the Head of School Performance & Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of our children, building on our strong partnerships with our family of 60 schools.

About the Role

Your leadership in driving strategies for school improvement, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and Inclusion will support all schools in our Borough to provide outstanding inclusive education. Leveraging our collaborative partnerships, you’ll maximise school-to-school support and foster collaborative working. As the Lead Commissioner for BDSIP, our school-owned, school-led improvement service, you’ll oversee effective commissioning, contract management, and quality assurance. Where necessary, you’ll step in to challenge and support schools to drive improvement, ensuring that every child and young person has the opportunity to thrive through education.

We operate with a hybrid work model, requiring successful candidates to attend the office or designated work location for a minimum of 3 days per week.

About You

This is a key leadership role in an authority known for its long-term and sustained improvement, rooted in successful collaboration across the education system. Your ability to build trusted relationships quickly, backed by professional credibility and personal integrity, will be vital. We’re looking for a Qualified Teacher with senior leadership experience in a Local Authority, School, or Trust. While experience as a headteacher is desirable, it’s not essential. Significant experience in the secondary phase is needed to balance the expertise within the team.
